Berat, Albania, cz. 2.

Berat zwany jest “miastem tysiąca okien”. Spośród albańskich miast, które odwiedziliśmy w wakacje, Berat szczególnie mi się spodobał: dogodne położenie w dolinie rzeki Osum, malownicze domki na wzgórzach i senna atmosfera sprzyjająca odpoczynkowi. Żałuję, że nie mieliśmy wystarczająco dużo czasu, aby przysiąść nad rzeką lub w jednej z nielicznych restauracyjek i nacieszyć się tym miejscem. Z drugiej strony, taki niedosyt powoduje, że chętnie wrócę do Beratu przy pierwszej nadarzającej się okazji :)

Berat is known as “the city of thousand windows”. Among the Albanian towns that we visited in the summer, I liked Berat particularly: convenient location in the valley of the Osum river, picturesque houses on the hills and sleepy, relaxing atmosphere. I regret we didn’t have enough time to sit by the river or in one of the few pubs and enjoy this place. On the other hand, thanks to this feeling of insufficiency I will come back to Berat as soon as possible :)
